The residents of Morrison can enjoy a round of golf at Cross Creek Golf Course which  lies on the West edge of town.  Players can experience 9 holes of challenging golf across hilly terrain that offers scenic views of the area.  Food and beverages are available in a concessions area and an upstairs lounge provides beverages and golf course views.

The Whiteside County Fairgrounds are located in Morrison and are the scene of the annual county fair in August and various 4-H activities, auctions and music events.

Rockwood State Park offers camping, hiking, picnic areas, horse trails, excellent fishing, and even model airplane field.  Visitors and Morrison residents alike use its ample concession area.  Rockwood State Park is conveniently located just 5 minutes North of Morrison.

Only 15 minutes West of town, one can experience the majesty and power of the Mississippi River, with its abundant wildlife and natural beauty.  Observing Bald Eagles in the area is a pleasure not to be missed.  Many spectators line the riverbanks to enjoy watching the Mississippi rise and fall as barges and pleasure boats pass through Lock and dam 13.
