Why Morrison

horizontal rule

Besides the economic benefits provided by locating to Morrison and enjoying the many recreational areas that abound in Northwest Illinois, did you know that Whiteside County ranks among the top 20 places to live in the mid-west and 32nd nation-wide!  Just read below:

According to The Progressive Farmer, a publication for rural America, Whiteside County (IL) ranks among the top 20 places to live in the mid-west and 32nd nation-wide. The survey was conducted, in part, because recent demographic trends indicate more than ever before, people are choosing the country lifestyle over the bustle of the city. Why? Quality of life, clean air and water, quality schools, and a low crime rate. These are the places people want to raise their children!

But don’t mistakenly equate “country lifestyle” with isolation. Whiteside County’s proximity to the the Quad Cities, Rockford (IL) and the Chicago-Metro area provides its residents easy access to the latest in medical and healthcare technologies, several international airports and a wide array of educational, cultural and social amenities, including world-renowned museums and zoos, 5-star restaurants and shopping experiences second to none.

Come and judge for yourself the value of rural living with amenities, second-to-none, just a short drive away. Decide to visit Whiteside County. Whether it’s eagle-watching along the Mississippi River, camping at one of our relaxing State parks, experiencing an honest-to-goodness county fair, walking through an operational windmill, hunting for antiques, fresh-water fishing, or any number of other diversions, we believe your “taste” of rural living will leave you longing for more. That’s right! We believe a short visit might convince you that a move to Whiteside County is just what the doctor ordered.
